        Monitoring the movement of sandstorms
           晩豚:2004-03-18 16:31        ン: system        輳苅

Two scientists in Beijing use a new and state-of-the-art technology to predict sandstorms and monitor the movement of such bad weather.

The new system, jointly developed by the Chinese Academy of Sciences, National Satellite Center and Peking University, stores and analyzes sandstorm data in the past 50 years.

In the past few years, sandstorms frequently hit northern China.
