Experts from China and Europe gathered at the Belgium-EU Pavilion over the weekend to discuss the topics of food safety and healthy lifestyle.
The seminar aimed to showcase the European Union’s involvement in programs regarding food security and the cooperation opportunities it has provided in the area. EU's practice and efforts in the research and development of food safety was also covered.
Speeches were delivered on the EU's efforts in the research and development of food safety, European Food Safety Authority's role in fueling scientific research, new challenges in infectious disease research.
The Joint Research Centre of the European Commission and the Chinese Academy of Inspection and Quarantine signed an academic cooperation memorandum following the seminar.
